6/26/20 KBB’s 2nd Quarterly Board Meeting after the Beautification Committee finishes up (10:30/11 a.m.) at the Byars Building
6/23/20 KBB will not be meeting this morning due to rain for beautification.
6/12/20 City of Blanco’s Trash-Off will take place July 6th through 11th with the City Yard open to the public for trash drop off.
6/4/20 KBB’s 21st Annual Don’t Mess with Texas Trash-Off and 14th Annual Blanco River Cleanup has been canceled due to COVID-19. The 2nd annual Fall Sweep event is being planned.
5/4/20 KBB’s Tuesday workdays will resume in the morning (5/5). Masks will be worn and social distancing will be practiced.
4/26/20 The Blanco Recycling Center has reopened.
4/6/20 The Blanco Recycling Center is closed temporarily due to COVID-19.
3/23/20 KBB’s Beautification committee will not be having any Tuesday morning workdays until restrictions are lifted.
3/17/20 Tuesday morning workdays are now up to each individual; if you want to get some fresh air come out for about an hour and we will be cautious.
3/14/20 KBB’s 21st Annual Don’t Mess with Texas Trash-Off and 14th Annual Blanco River Cleanup have been postponed until further notice due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

10/15/19 KBB’s Christmas Party will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 17 at Old 300 after the beautification committee finishes. Bring a white elephant gift if you’d like to participate in the gift exchange!
10/11/19 KBB’s 4th Quarterly Board Meeting will be on Tuesday, Oct. 15 after the Beautification Committee finishes up work around the square and Bindseil Park (around 10:30 a.m.) at Bindseil Park.
8/17/19 KBB’s beautification committee will be meeting at 9 a.m. again.
8/1/19 KBB’s 1st Annual Fall Sweep will take place on Sept. 28 at Bindseil Park at 9 a.m.
7/29/19 KBB’s 3rd Quarterly Board Meeting will be on Tuesday, July 30 after the Beautification Committee finishes up work around the square and Bindseil Park (around 10:30 a.m.) at The Bean and Biscuit.
7/18/19 KBB’s beautification committee will be meeting at 8:30 a.m. instead of 9 a.m. on Tuesdays to avoid some of the summer heat until further notice.
5/16/19 KBB’s 2nd Quarterly Board Meeting will be on Tuesday, May 21 after the Beautification Committee finishes up work around the square and Bindseil Park (around 10:30-11 a.m.) at The Bean and Biscuit.
4/20/19 The Blanco County Household Waste Collection Event will be on April 27 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 377 Transfer Road in Johnson City.
4/12/19 20th Annual KBB Trash Off and Citywide Cleanup and 13th Blanco River Cleanup has been rescheduled for 4/27.

1/8/19 KBB will be holding its 1st Quarterly Board Meeting after the Beautification Committee finishes up (around 11 a.m.) and the location for the meeting will be announced shortly.

9/18/18 KBB was unable to hold the raffle drawing on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Market Days. Due to the bad weather and flood warnings, Blanco Market Days was canceled. The KBB fundraiser scheduled for that Market Days, which is called the “Help Save The Historic Rock Walls ” raffle drawing, was postponed until October 12, 2018. It will be held at 3:15 p.m. at the Old Blanco Courthouse. Call 210-722-4799 for information.
KBB is currently searching for an Education chair. The Education chair is responsible for educating school children regarding litter and waste handling practices;educating officials, teachers, semi-professional staff, clerical and maintenance staffs regarding cleanliness techniques; and recognition of outstanding class/school/staff. Please let us know if you are interested.
Every Tuesday morning, our beautification committee works hard taking care of Bindseil Park, Pecan Bottom Park, City Hall, Post Office, and all the planters on the east side of the historic district. We are currently meeting at 9 a.m. Come on out on Tuesday to join in all the gardening fun.
