The Blanco Streetscape Project

Keep Blanco Beautiful is teaming up with the Streetscape Committee for something big, and we need your support. The Blanco Streetscape Project is an ambitious initiative that combines historic preservation, infrastructure renewal, and landscape beautification in the heart of our Historic Town Square.

This isn’t just about prettying things up. There are cracks forming along the sidewalks and foundations of historic buildings. A quarter inch of rain puts 4th & Pecan under water. There are dangerous traffic conditions, exacerbated by an inefficient parking design and a lack of pedestrian safety elements. However, there is also an opportunity here: a chance to revive the Historic Square and re-imagine how it could be.

Your support will help preserve our small-town charm, revive historic integrity, and create genuine common ground on the front porch of our community. Be a part of shaping our town’s future!

Architect Presents the Latest 3D Renderings

The Streetscape Project continues to make progress with fundraising for the planning stages of downtown’s revitalization. At the latest Streetscape meeting, Sue Anne Pemberton of Main Street Architects presented 3D renderings that showcase the vision of a Town Square that not only preserves our historic character, but also makes it easier to park, safer to walk, more accessible to people with disabilities, and of course, more beautiful.
