Each year, Keep Blanco Beautiful (KBB) holds a Don’t Mess With Texas Trash Off Art Contest at the Blanco Elementary School for students in grades kindergarten through fifth. Olga Ibarra, Francis Dickey, Sally Wall, and Claudia Smith, members of Tejas Art Club, volunteered to judge the contest entries on Tuesday, April 16. The first, second, and third place winners of each grade was submitted to Keep Texas Beautiful (KTB) to be entered in their calendar contest. KTB says, “The purpose of the Contest is to inspire our future leaders to refrain from littering, advocate for litter prevention, and keep Texas beautiful.” KBB members passed out certificates and sunglasses to the winners on Thursday, April 25.
